Hi! I wanted to get my Saitek R220 Pedals to work in Flight Simulator 2004 as well as NFS MW that they already work in. So I've downloaded Saitek's R220 Driver Fix (At the bottom of that page) to set up the axis's to work as my rudder control.

However since I did that it does work in NFS and in FS9, but its not proportional, i.e. if I push the pedal the accelerator (NFS) or rudder pedal (FS) goes straight to its full extent. Its the same in XP's control panel.

Theyre pretty much useless now! How can I reconfigure it to work?

Cheers guys!

*Bump*

Come on guys, this is driving me insane! I've got something I can't use. HELP!!

Well I can't recall exactly if there was a driver CD, I believe they where just plug and pray.

I've unplugged them and told device manager to un-install it, is that what you mean?

Thanks Mr

i was thinking if you uninstalled the driver fix and then the drivers and then plugged the wheel back in and use it as plug and play. Or you could see if windows updates has a driver for it.

I doubt there's a fix for it - Saitek steering wheels are complete crap. I bought a 440 a while back and I've had nothing but trouble with it...

- If you turn the wheel to its full extents left and right, the centre point becomes about 15 degrees to the right.
- If in install the profiler software it knocks out my USB keyboard and mouse and makes them unusable (MX1000 and Logi navigator). Thankfully the profiler is useless anyway.
- The inner cog which connects the wheel to the FF motor has lost several teeth which results in a judder in the wheel as you turn it - and this is only after a few months of on/off use.
- The left gear paddle connection became very erratic, sometimes it wouldnt downshift, other times it'd downshift twice, so i had to take the whole thing apart and resolder the connection. It was taking it apart to do this i discovered the missing teeth.

All in all i suggest you sell the 220 and buy a proper wheel like a driving force pro or a momo.

HTH.
