Hey All,

I received my Samsung LE32N73BD yesterday, from a well known online store (they also have high-street stores). To my horror, when I turned it on ... there was a single dead pixel, pretty much in the middle of the screen.

Anyone got any suggestion as to what I should do with it?

I was thinking on taking it into a high-street branch and asking for a refund?

However I rang them about it last night, and they reckons you need at least 5 dead pixels before they will touch it. Should I tell the people in the store I want a refund for a different reason? i.e. I just don't like it?

Any help would be great. :)

Cheers, Munkey

Yea, its a really nice tv, just a bit annoying, been waiting for 2 weeks for it n' all :(

I got it from the place your thinking, I got it for the same price (bargain, i thought)

I was actually thinking about the insurance policy.

What do you think my chances are of getting a refund tho? Seeing as its been out of the box, and used?

cheers

Well, i presume its stuck on, but I can only see it on blue and green colours, not black or white screen, it sort of a really pale blue colour, does that mean its only a stuck pixel, and not a dead one?

EDIT, how do you actually tell the difference, between dead and stuck pixels?

Hey guys,

Just thought I'd update you all, turns out they will exchange my tv for another one, I have to go instore and change it for a new one.

Just wondering, is there a way of testing for dead pixels instore, before I take it home? I presumed I'm right in thinking I have the right to test the tv before I get it?

cheers
