Samsung 2443 settings what is the best to use thanks ?

These monitors normally leave the factory with the brightness at 100 so i would start by turning that down before your eyes start to hurt.

Always use your LCD monitor at it's native resolution (1920 * 1200 in your case).

You will want to 'tune' your monitor to suit your environment so install the software that came with the monitor, i think they are called 'magictune' & 'magic color' and spend some time setting it up.

ok thanks

tried setting the brightness to 50 and contrast to 40

brightness at 55 seems a littile to bright and 45 seemed to lack the punch so 50 might be about right.

is this about right for lcd monitors ?

I left rgb all at 50

and sharpness at 64

I had to change nearly all the settings on my monitor when I moved it from one side of the room to the other. The light was completely different and what I thought was the optimal settings for that monitor looked proper **** when moved 20 foot.

Ultimately, your the person spending hours in front of your screen, so you got to find what settings your comfortable/happy with, nobody will be able to tell you your perfect set-up.

Though saying that, brightness at around 50 should be a very good starting place, just adjust it back and forth depending on what you need
