Hi all,

just a quick question.. i want to buy this ssd today and from what i've read so far the samsung seem to be the most reliable ssd on the market at the moment.

Would you recommend this to be a good purchase? Especially at this price point?

There was no reviews on the store.

Thanks for any replies. Want to buy this around lunchtime.

How about the random write speeds, wouldn't these have more of an effect with day to day use and general files?

tbh i wouldn't be writing a great deal to the ssd just a few games applications and OS.

Plus the only other + side and the main reason i'm looking at the 840 is because i can purchase it for not much more than £100

The trouble with the 840 non pro models is it uses cheaper tlc nand rather than mlc nand found on the pro models and on the 830 drives, the newer controller extracts the fastest speeds from the tlc nand but there's no idea how long these drives last over time however they do come with warranty ect,and Idk how well it stacks up against the older 830 256gb model regarding speed
