Slim Package, Big Performance: The new Samsung XP941 M.2 PCIe SSD delivers a level of performance that easily surpasses the speed limit of a SATA 6Gb/s interface. With sequential data reads as high as an incredible 1,170MB/s (megabytes per second) on the 512GB model, the XP941 provides the highest possible performance available with a PCIe 2.0 interface

The new standard: The Samsung XP941 SSD in the new M.2 form factor is set to supersede the older mSATA format. Weighing in at just 8g, it's 1/5th the weight of a standard 2.5-inch SSD and takes up just 1/7th of the space.

Ultra green: Consuming just 80 mW of power when idle, and 5.8 W when fully active, the Samsung XP941 delivers longer battery life without sacrificing performance.

For desktops and laptops: The new M.2 SSD format (previously known as NGFF - New Generation Form Factor) is compatible with the latest generation netbooks and notebooks containing a PCIe M.2 socket, such as the new Sony Vaio Pro

PLEASE NOTE: THIS DRIVE IS NOT COMPATIBLE TO MACBOOK, MACBOOK PRO, MAC MINI OR IMAC. If you intend to purchase this product as an upgrade for an existing smaller drive, you should check if the existing drive is a Samsung XP941 or other M.2 PCIe SSD. If not sure please contact our customer service team at Overclockers.co.uk

Only £309.98 inc VAT.

hummm :)

One of the most important aspects that makes a PC feel more responsive is IOPS rather than throughput.

Hence I opted to not use my 4 lane M.2 slot as the price premium is too high...

Why does the XP941 loose out at all to some Sata600 2.5" drives in any workload where Sata600 is not the limiting factor? Because it uses fewer NAND dies (dictated by the small form factor): SSD performance is influenced by accessing multiple dies in parallel.

Is your workload streaming masses of data very fast, or your laptop only has M.2, by all means this is a great drive... for most users... nope.

My new laptop Is coming with a Samsung PM852 m.2 512GB ( dell xps13 )

Ive been told that the ssds are quite slow in these, would this be a ideal replacement/would it fit

:D
