Just noticed the graphs compares to GDDR5 not GDDR5X which explains the 10Gbps but the article wrongly refers to GDDR5X.
So its going to offer 14% faster bandwidth for 18% less power.
Will all come down to price vs HBM then as HBM will offer 100% more bandwidth for the same power .
So in theory you could use HBM and set the bandwidth to be 14% more bandwidth and match GDDR6 but HBM will use 43% less power.
So only cheapness will make anybody use GDDR6.
