Samsung BX2450 - any views?

I have been thinking of buying this monitor in near future. I really like the monitor stand which seems to resemble alien legs lol:p. Hopefully in few months time it's price will come down further.

arrived today :) first impressions are good. i mean, it looks amazing. and really big! i've never had a 24" before and the size of this thing actually took be aback. incredibly slim also. only another few days before the actual pc to use it with is ready!

the stand itself is my only concern; there seems to be no way to change it from its fixed position which is a slight downwards tilt? this is just a little worrying because the desk i use is a little to low anyway. i'm sure i can do something to sort this out though.

@mr griffin - wondering what sort of changes you've made to the settings? obviously this part is subjective, but curious as to how much adjusting i can expect to have to do..

where is everyone? :) forum seems quiet today!

more than likely going to have to purchase a monitor stand for my BX2450. don't suppose anyone knows a good place to look for these? ideally would want something to look pretty sleek so as not to take anything away from the beauty of this beast! :)

It doesn't support a VESA mount so I think you're out of luck?
I got one of these as soon as they were available, It's pretty good but not a patch on my S-IPS screen which is about 4 years old now.

I agree about the stand, mine also faces downwards, put a couple of pound coins under the front of the legs for now, it helped but it's still not where I want it to be

You can tilt the monitor, it's just stiff like all Samsungs. Put one hand on the top, one on the bottom and tilt from there.

cheers mate. tbh i wasn't even thinking about a vesa mount, just a simple monitor stand or something of the sort to raise its height. they have some stands on amazon but they mostly only support smaller monitors, and aren't particularly great to look at. so i don't know if anyone as any recommendations there?

Aside from the 'little' ones knocking about on various sites and ones that connect using a VESA mounting system I'm not really sure I'm afraid, I don't have a lot of experience in this area :).

Again Samsung's specifications on this are muddled and confused. They really need to sort this out!

http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/...dex.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=specification

They list it as 'tilt stand' and 'simple stand' at the same time!!? Come to think of it I don't think I tried or was able to tilt the BX2350 when it was being reviewed for my website. I am fairly sure somebody would have made a note of it for the review if it were possible.

I think this picture is going over the top a bit! How can it possibly tilt back that far when the monitor locks into the stand?

I'm in the market for a 24" monitor and would have been all over the BX2450 but for the lack of a VESA mount. I only need a desktop stand now but who knows in a couple of years.
