Are they any good? I've been considering this or the LG KG800.
Is the headset as good as the SE ones?
Well I have only had it 24 hours so I could only give my initial impressions and not a decent appraisal of what it'll be like long term.
I prefer the look to the LG Chocolate. That's just a personal thing plus the LG is so common, I don't want the same as everyone else, I never owned a V3 for example.
I like the touch senstive parts, I have insensitive fingers so would possibly like the touch sensitive parts to be a little less sensitive.
The screen is fantastic. Really good resolution, really good colours and really clear to look at.
The phone makes a noise everytime I touch anything, I assume I can turn this off somewhere, I prefer a stealthier phone noisewise.
The camera seems pretty good, it is the best camera on a phone that I have ever had. But I never owned a SE 750 / 800 etc. Its a 2mp camera so one up on the LG's 1.3mp.
It is small, I think smaller than the choclate and thinner too. It certainly appears to be although I've not held them side by side.
It takes microSD cards - this is a major plus for me.
The supplied management software and USB cable to allow you to sync your phone worls very well. I've played around with photos and contacts and transferred files and it's all good.
I have not used it as a phone yet lol. So I have no idea what sound quality is like from either end, reception on O2 is better than on T-Mobile though. That's not a phone related issue just something that I noticed as I swapped sims around.
I have not tried the headset out as I'd be unlikely to use a wired headset and more likely to use a BT device.
So to summarise I haven't found anything I don't like about it so far. I've been holding off on upgrading for nearly 6 months as nothing was out that I liked. I wasn't aware of this phone being out until I went to look at phones yesterday and a shop staff girl showed me hers ....
I had been holding out for the Samsung Z700 or Z710 to be released, it was announced as coming soon 12 months ago. I had considered the chocolate, the V3i, the EF91 and a few others. None really appealed and I prefer sliders or flip phones to bar phones otherwise I'd have a W800 or similar.
I'm going to take some more pictures outside because my personal main phone requirements were flip, BT, good camera, memory slot, small and a little bit sexy to look at. It's a slider not a flip but barring that it fits the bill so far. If it was 3g it'd be the business.
There is however a new phone that is of interest to me (being a HTC fan).
It's the HTC STRTrk available in either black or pink. It's pretty cool for a windows 5 flipphone. The wife is already wanting the pink one.
