Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2560 x 1600 - drool)

Not sure myself as i see there's a iPad 4 going for £330 in the MM.

I missed out on Currys £50 off deal last week (making the samsung £350) so i'm not going to pay more than that before Christmas, you just know it's going to be cheaper after

I have to be honest, i cannot see in anyway how an iPad can be better then this. Skunkworks is right about being restricted.

It's OTE=V_R;25474787]I know this isn't the best place to ask, but, if you had the choice of this or an iPad Air, what would you go for?

All the reviews I've seen point to the Air, but only just....

An unbiased opinion anyone!? :)[/QUOTE]I think it's down to preference, I could have easily bought an air but ios just doesn't feel right to me. I like the way Android works and the the ease of customisation...

What is it you want to do with your tablet and have you owned a tablet before?

Not owned one before no, usually I use my PC or phone (S4) But I'd like one just so i can sit there on the sofa etc and browse/mess about.

I came from an iP5 to the S4 and do prefer Android over iOS/Itunes etc.

Think i need to meet them both in person...

Let's just say, I'm getting rid of my iPad Air and will get one of these once sold. As said before, too restricted with iOS, I hate it :(

I think it's definitely best if you try them out somewhere. Mainly for how they feel and how the screen looks.

Ipad has a larger number of very high end games that aren't on Android. But Android has plenty of great games, more than I can manage to play.

I watch a lot of video on my tablet so the aspect ratio is much better for that.

I also do a lot of browsing which in my opinion is better on android due to the choice of browsers and flexibility. But you would be fine with either.

I do love this tablet. All round I think its the best ten inch android tablet I have used. The screen is what does it for me. I've also started to use the multitasking more, mainly for YouTube and chrome side by side. The pen is also a good plus, it's nice to just draw with.

I LOVE everything about it apart from the Home and touch buttons... why did they not use on screen....

I like the lack of on screen buttons... More screen for apps.

Agree on both. I like the extra screen space the physical buttons free up on the screen. But the bad thing about the physical buttons is i keep hitting back button when im reading on portait mode :(

That is my plan.

I would without doubt prefer the Note 10.1. But what puts me off (rightly or wrongly) is that i keep reading the same two things. iPad has the better Tablet apps, and the 10.1 lags a bit now and again.

But, If i can actually use the Note I will probably find out its really not as bad as they say....

I still think it would look better without the capacitive touch buttons

I'm going to say it again, the screen on this thing is amazing!

Side by side with a nexus 10 there is no comparison.

Anyone got any recommendations for some light slimline cases?

@kona786 i picked up one of these bad boys on Friday, not sure if you got one or not, if you haven't, what are you waiting for! :D
