Samsung Galaxy Note: 5.3", 1200x800 SuperAMOLED, S-PEN stylus, 2500mAh attery... *phew*

Had a look at one yesterday - looks so nice! It is big though, but so so nice!

It's going to be a tough call between this and the S3 (when it's finally released!).

I doubt it, the S3 will have a fairly big, high resolution screen and should have significantly better specs.

We'll see.

No one has mentioned the sound quality of the music on this device.
Some nice Flac audio play through some good quality earphones, not the usual £30 kak, on say Poweramp.

I use a good pair of IEMs (brainwavz b2 dual balanced armature) using flac files and high bitrate mp3 and the sound quality is okay. The trouble is it uses the same mediocre yamaha DAC as the sII. I'd like to hear what the sound quality is like on the galaxy s to compare.

Yeah sound quality is mediocre - its not bad - but its not great either - acceptable with my Sennheiser IEMs or studio monitors but the sound could do with being a bit "brighter".

Battery life is an odd one for me, sometimes it goes ages and ages and other times with exactly the same useage it will drain the battery in a couple of days tops.

£20 for the keyboard (it is the bluetooth version - most of the £20 ones are not the bluetooth version) and £3 for the USB adapter.

That's a shame, I use a pair of klipsch X10. If the note sounds Kak, might give it a miss

Shooting Vids on the Note ?

It's fine for normal everyday videos but I'm trying to do something very close up but the focal point is around 0.5m. Are there any camcorder specific apps that will improve the very close-up videos ?, as its very blurry at the moment.

Doesn't sound kak just not as lively as some of the higher end audio hardware based phones.

Can you email me where you got them from please? :)

Just got it from a big internet based retailer - just make sure you get the bluetooth one - the cheaper ones tend to be wireless/usb.

Is that video, post 1058, speeded up? My Note is not that snappy!

Mines about that snappy - sometimes needs a reboot to get it back to nice and fast tho.

I've just received my note, first impressions are good but i can't help but notice the screen takes significantly more pressure to recognise being touched than my desire did which is proving really frustrating.especially when Swyping add it continuously thinks I've taken my finger off unless I'm pressing quite hard. Is this normal?

Discovered the cause of the problem with the screen sensitivity, not sure if it's been discussed on here already so I'll mention it for others in case it's not.

When charging the phone sometime a static buildup occurs which affects the screen, apparently less of am issue with the official charger. But all is perfect when I unplug!
