Can anyone confirm whether the Samsung nvme drives on sale such as the 960 Pro or SM961 etc are self-encrypting drives that are bitlocker compliant?
I.E. They don't go through the process of encrypting everything on the drive because all data is always encrypted anyway, justwith an initial blank password so it looks like a normal drive. Therefore no performance loss comes from activating bitlocker.
My Crucial MX200 & MX300 drives all do this but sadly my Intel 750 nvme drive does not and I would like the OS drive to be encrypted as well.
Thanks.
