At the end of the month, they will first release a clone of the current 226BW, the 223BW, for less expensive but it won’t be as reactive. It will have a 5 ms panel, and theoretically no possibility of activating the overdrive to go to 2 ms. Its expected price is around 300 euros, compared to the recommended 370 of the 226BW. While we know that the latter is found for as low as 335 euros, this could mean some good things for those who might opt for this younger sibling. Samsung specifies that all production of the 223BW will be with Samsung panels.

The SyncMaster 226BW continues on its way with just one change. Samsung now assures us that supplies arriving in stores are all with Samsung panels. So, the A and C versions are finished.

So at last they are listening and all new stock will be S panels.
However who knows how much stock of the inferior panels are left in stores
at this moment and possible you would have to wait 6 months to get an S panel.
I am certainly not going to buy one yet as i just know i'll get a C panel,
they probably have warehouses full of C's still.

Thought the 223bw was smaller, 21.6" as well as been a 5ms panel. However, it has the added bonus that Samsung state all the panels will be Samsung.

yes but still nice to know it's defo an S and that the new 226bw stock will all be S.

it would be ncie to believe that but samsung said months ago that all panels would be S panels. I won't believe till its been confirmed which i doubt will ever be proved

Well it probably is but warehouses & retailers still have tonnes of old stock,
no idea when you could be certain of getting one probably 6 months away.
I do believe the 223bw is a certainty though as they have clearly stated
all panels are theirs and it's a new product.
