SAMSUNG PS50B530S 50" 1080p Plasma

Saw this the other day as well, awesome deal. Also if you buy the TV you get £50 off the Samsung 5.1 DVD surround kit.

own one of these, and for the money i am totally blown away. It does suffer from screen/image retention, so i'd struggle to reccomend it to my dad - who watches sky sports all day, with the logos, but for me luv it.

Chances of fitting this in a Vauxhall Corsa? Buying one tommorrow. but ofc being impatient i would like to fetch it myself. Anyone know if i have a chance in hell to fit this into my little Corsa?

Plus the delivery waiting time is 14 days :(

Can anyone that owns this tv give me sort of idea please? any help would be appreciated

Not a chance of fitting it into a corsa, i bought a 50" panasonic and it only just about fit into the back of our VW caddy van

This will not fit into a corsa, the box is CONSIDERABLY bigger than the TV, and I doubt the TV would fit in alone. I have a 1998 fiesta and my 40" barely fitted in (Literally cm to spare)

My parents bought one of these the other day and i've spent the last day setting it up. It is a fantastic TV. Can't fault it in any way whatsoever!

I bought one to replace my Panny PZ80.. Just fancied something a bit bigger. The Picture quality is awful in commparison to the PZ80, Spent hours setting it up but its just not great.. Its going back tomorrow and i will stick with the panasonic, its a shame as the size is superb.

But isnt the PZ80 double the price of this tv?

I paid £799 for mine. I was offered £600 for my Tv by someone at work and fancied a bigger plasma.. Its not a bad Tv at all and if you bought one you would be happy if its your first plasma.

Gah thats bad news :( I'll go pay and try to fit it in with it stripped out of the box... if not i'll have to get it delivered.

Thanks for the info

I got it in my Vectra c Laying down  and that was tight.. Might fit on the back seat of a corsa out of the box.. ?

Yeah i'll be putting both the back seats down and going to try to make it fit lying down with a blanket.

Thats the best i can do i think

Just be a bit carefull laying it down, the weight of the screen can cause damage as its only supported properly when upright.. Mine was fine driving 20 miles and a few speedbumps and potholes... Although it was in the box.

You will never fit that in a fiesta mate.
I could barely fit my 32" in my old fez.
Took a 42" home the other day in the focus, fitted fine.
Wonder if I could fit a 50" in there now..... :D

EDIT: as for laying on it's side, don't worry about it, there relatively robust, as long as you lay it on it's back.
How do you think they are made/stored/transported??

bought one the other day.Picture quality ok(once I set it to my preference), but the speakers sound very tinny.not a big deal as it is now connected through my surround kit.
not bad at all for the price and will tide me over nicely till 3D tv's start to appear in the next couple of years

Upright of course. Don't have it laid down on its back for too long in a car, can cause damage. Your best off trying to get it on the back seats upright, the hardest part is getting it in the door I find.
