Samsung SM-913N or SyncMaster 710N

Well basically looking to upgrade my 17" NEC CRT monitor. I've read the reviews on this and was just wanting to know if this is the best <£200 monitor still.

I play quite a lot of game's and never much of anything else other than a bit of webpage and graphic designing. Would this suit my need's as an avid gamer or would a new model be better?

17" Samsung SyncMaster 710N also caught my eye at 12ms, but im not to sure if this would be good for the games i play - as there was only one review for gaming and it was good. Not to bothered that it's 17" as it's also going to be bigger than my current one.

Now my CRT is very good quality and have no problems with it, just wanting to clear up some space and get a monitor with a native rez of what i use and also something easier on the eyes after long periods.

Thanks,

v1bez.

hmm noticed SM-930BF is on week offer. Not sure whether to go for 4:3 or 16:10...mainly gaming and windows.

Anyone have dual displays, one of each ratio?

I'd have looked at getting that too, but have a max of £200 to spend and nothing more.

I would really to stretch out the extra £30 to get the DVI connection. It'll have better picture quality, if you don't have DVI ATM when you do buy a new card you can then use it...you're stuck with analogue otherwise.

DVI does look considerbly better with DVI. Why get a decent screen only for you to add additional A-D conversions? It's like with CRT they're great with VGA.

Yeh i know what your talking about, but in my case i really can't justify the extra £30-40 for a monitor just due to DVI. Also from reviews ive noticed a lot of people saying the difference although it's there it's very minimal.

So that's also swaying me to not spend another £40 for a DVI connection although people state their own opinions and everyones is different.

What about this one then?

Samsung SM730BF 17"

Seem's pretty good, although the 19" would be cool, a size a 17" would also be cool and they only do the same rez's aswell but has 4ms too.
