My PC is five years old now and although I would love to buy a new one I dont have the finances at the moment. To be honest, I can still run everything I need just fine and only play one game these days - WOW.

So I was thinking of buying a nice 24" display this year and then maybe the new PC next year, but firstly I'm trying to find out whether my current setup will be enough to run a 24" at 1920x1200.

The monitor that I lean towards at the moment is the Samsung SM2443BW. I won't watch any TV/DVD's on this screen and I really like the the additional vertical space over and above the 1920x1040 displays.

Current setup:
ASUS A8V Deluxe
AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+
RADEON X800 XT 256MB

Do you guys think the X800 will be able to cope with this display at high resolutions fairly smoothly untill I buy the new PC?

By the way thanks for a great forum, have been using this a lot for research so far!

Thanks for the quick reply. That's basically all I'm after at this stage, to make sure the display will work.
