Hi,

Just ordered me the above TV/Monitor to use as a computer monitor as well as a HDTV in my second room. I am curious to know how it performs as a monitor and if there is anyone out there who owns one of these and uses it on a computer, I would like to hear your verdict please.

They are available at £264 inc. VAT from Overclockers, which is an amazing price, and as it has a 8ms response time which should mean it should be suitable even for gaming (Hopefully!).

Thanks in advance,
Dan

Looks like no-one has been brave enough to buy one of these to use as a monitor yet then :D

I will post a review to help people when I receive mine. I do warn you in advance, this is my first TFT / LCD after years on a 22" CRT so I am not the best person to review. Should be interesting with me comparing the picture quality as I am moving from a top of the range Sony CRT.

sure i've seen a couple of people with one here before, but they should make a fine monitor as well after all they are using a Samsung TN Film panel which has been used in other models as well which don't have tV fucntionality. Anyway, let us know how you find it :)

Seeing as this SM940MW is on offer, I am even more tempted. Would anyone know if I could connect it to my laptop and use both screens at once e.g, I use CAD software and would be great to have it open on my laptop and have a tutorial open on the tft at the same time??
