Samsung TV plus - what’s the deal?

I notice a lot of current Samsung TVs are listed as not being Freeview or Freesat but Samsung TV Plus.

Amazingly, the internet does not answer the basic question of whether you can get live terrestrial TV via Samsung TV Plus tvs in the UK.

Any owners here who can explain a bit about how it works? If you want to use BBC 1 for example is it basically only via the iPlayer?

It has very few normal channels. They’re mostly specialist sort of channels dedicated to one thing.

Note these are in addition to the usual freeview channels. Samsung TVs do have Freeview/Freesat (my QN94 has both and from what I can see all newer Samsung TVs do) and then the Samsung channels up in the 4000+ channel number range of the guide.

Thanks, that’s the bit that was unclear to me and I couldn’t find a straight answer for.
