Samsung UE46d6530 or Sony KDL46HX823?

Friends,

I am in a fix between Samsung UE46d6530 & Sony KDL46HX823. In my opinion following are the pros and cons for both:

Pros for Samsung:

1) Ability to play variety of formats like mkv, etc
2) Great Internet content

Pros for Sony:

1) Better picture quality (please validate...)
2) Better natural refresh rate of 200 Hz compared to 100Hz for Samsung
3) Better sound (but when connected to a good sound system - the difference will cease to exist)
4) Better looks owing to jet black edges

Please suggest...

I think your suggestions are tilting toward the Sony anyway,and I would tend to agree with you.
The Sony will be miles better made than the Samsung,which,when you see their internal components,are just plain shoddy (I have two of them and both have issues).
Fair enough the Samsung will more than likely have the latest internet content and connectivity,however I know that it would prey on my mind that I'd bought second best for my money.
As you point out the Sony is also a better looker,certainly something a ten a penny Samsung badge wont give.
