Hello,

Had this UE46ES8000 tv from Samsung since 2013, and I use the headphone socket a lot due to hearing problem. What's happened though over these 3 years is the headphone port has broke on me and "gone in" on itself. I've had a look in side and the headphone chip has come off so no sound at all EVEN FROM THE MAIN TV SPEAKER. so I'm left with a to that has no sound at all. (The headphone icon comes on the screen even though there is no headphones in, so can't adjust anything

The other major problem is getting it to work via external audio equipment, cables. The RCA AUDIO out from the TV (red/white) WILL NOT transmit any sound at all when connected to hi-fi in Ports, or other equipment (even tried a digital mixer). My old 7 year old TV works without any problems, so does RCA OUT from freesat box, but this means I can't listen to any programmes recorded on my main source (Tv) at all, including all my recorded material.

There's is a replacement board on eBay (main board bn94) which is about £140 ish.

Any suggestion. ?

Tony. Sorry for long post.

Thanks for replies. looking at the manual, it seemed like it was audio out, but obviously not lude. ill have a look at other options.

You TV should have a Digital Audio Out (Optical), so just get a cheapo DAC, and then connect the DAC RCA output you whatever audio equipment you use

any specific part/adapter I need to look for?

Thanks marine. Much appreciated.

Just a side note on inputs/outputs, well, I tried the RCA leads on an older 6-7 year old tv last night and they were " outputs" as it worked. Probably don't do out puts on modern smart TVs? (I connected a cheap pc speaker/sub woofer system to test it on).

Tony.
