and it will go with the new xbox thats on its way.

I was looking at it myself until I read a lot of reports stating that for gaming the 5 series sets are the better choice as they have better response time. Depends what you're using it for though.

haveing had a read, people say gaming mode is fine for gaming. my friend has the 50" and has no complaints, he plays ps4 on it.

From reading AVForums it appears the lip sync issue's with the in built Freeview. Would have loved to purchase this tv, but I only watch Freeview channels.

That was fixed a while back with a firmware update as far as I am aware, but then I only use mine for OD services and my pc.

One area of concern that has been raised by existing Samsung H6400 owners is lip-sync delay, particularly from the inbuilt tuner where no correction via an external receiver is possible. With the latest firmware version (at time of testing) of 2120 loaded on our set, we didn’t experience this issue throughout the many SD and HD channels we sampled. Yes, look (and listen) hard enough and you’ll notice a very slight discrepancy between picture and sound, but it never bothered us in real-world viewing.

I bought this TV for my mother and father for Christmas and its seems a great TV i haven't seen any issues with the lips sync although i wasn't watching free view i was watching TV via a virgin box.

Well I ordered one of these the other day, and waiting on it being delivered. I read about the lip sync issue and it seems it's only connected to the built in tuner, no probs for me as it's sky hd and game consoles and bluray players connected.

I've seen them in the shops next to a LG and I prefered the samsung, so will have to wait till it turns up and then get it on wall and try to calibrate it as best as I can.

I have one and love it, great TV. Stand is fine, don't see any problems there. No lip-sync issues either and gaming has been smashing on my Xbox One.

That's great, but is your tv connected to Sky or Virgin? Most if not all lip sync issues are through the in built Freeview tuner.

Had a chat with an assistant in JL, today and he gave me enough confidence to give this tv a try. :D

If it's poo then back it goes, no problem.

got my tv today, have no lip sync issues with sky HD and have just been playing fifa with no issues either.

Looks like a great TV to me.

I've purchased a Samsung UE40H6400 and have been experiencing lip sync issues with Freeview HD and playing MKVs via DLNA.

Bought just over two weeks ago, brand new.

Running firmware 2850.3.

Any advice?

I think you should wait for the Winter sales as a Samsung 6 series will be cheaper soon due to the emerging HDR technology and at that price point, you should aim for an LED set with 4K or save for a Dolby Vision HDR television with at least 800 nits of brightness and FALD.
