sandy bridge 2600k crashing idm

internet download manager keeps crashing when rebuilding the files after download, then the system freezes and crashes...

specs:

msi p67a gd65

sandybridge 2600k

570 gtx

corsair 4gb ram (2x2gb)

windows 7 x64 and x86 tried both versions

Is your corsair the value ram 1333MHz?

I am disappointed with this, bought for a collegue but very unstable, going to RMA.

no its corsair 1666mhz 1.65v we have ran multiple bench test on the cpu it runs games fine and everything but it wont rebuild files in idm ????

"Sandy Bridge" CPUs Memory Controller Shouldnt be run at anything higher than 1.5V. Try Reducing the Voltage on the RAM. You Might have to Lower the Speed of the Ram in order to get it to run at this Voltage.

just tried that lowered the speed of the ram to 1333 and 1.492.v stil crashed ??????? why could this be happening do you think something could be faulty ??
