Saphire ATI 5870 HD - audio question

just a quickie re this card and the audio output side of things

what way does this work? i have an auzentech prelude 7.1 card with optical out, can i still use the auzentech primarily for my audio output or what is the case here?

you can still use auzentech, you can disable the onchip audio chip its much like motherboard audio, in windows vista/7 you can chose the output/card you want to use and disable the rest

Or you can leave it enabled & use them all as & when you need them by selecting them in the same screen posted above. I have the same sound card as you & a sapphire 5870. ATM I switch between the optical out (to my receiver) & the 3.5mm front speaker out (to a headphone amp) depending on where I'm sitting or what I'm doing on the pc. As soon as I get a blu-ray drive for the pc I'll be using the hdmi out on the card too so I can bitstream the HD codecs
