Sapphire ATI X1950XT 256MB

WIll that be enough on a E6600 to play games like oblivion etc on max settings?
I only can run max res of 1280 x 1024
I will settle with this if it will run the next gen games ok at that res, i dont see the point in buyin an uber powerful one if im going to get same performance

You should still remove it. It doesn't have any relevance to your question. Also, people who can answer it will know what one looks like. :p

Yes it should be able to play Oblivion at max on that res. Probably with HDR too.

Id remove the name of the competitor to as its not allowed, the x1950 XT 256mb will handle Oblivion with ease, my x1800 XT 512mb cuts through it maxed out in 1280x1024 with 2xAA/16xAF and HDR. :)

No any card will do as they all work in single mode, just don't get the master as its more expensive, and its not needed, isnt needed for crossfire either now as its done through software (the drivers) now. :)

Those ads are misleading now anyway, it just means if you want to go crossfire (2x cards) then you would need a master card to go with it, as the master card has the composing chip, and also comes with the cable that was required for Crossfire, but now the masters aint required anymore as its been implented into the drivers, you can still do it that way if you wish master/slave, as through the drivers theres a slight performance hit. :)

Mind you its not the fault of OcUK etc... as the crossfire has only just been implemented into the drivers.
