Since installing this card last night, I've been experiencing 2 problems:

1. When I switch on the PC, just before the Windows log-on screen, my display goes blank. It seems to be still receiving a signal from the graphics card though because the LCD display remains on. However, if I turn off the LCD and then turn it back on, I can see the log-on screen fine. After logging-on, the display goes blank at random times but is fixed by turning the LCD off and on again. Any ideas on what is causing this?

2. After installing the card, there is an unknown PCI device in the device manager now. Does any know what this is?

I'm using the Catalyst 7.6 drivers and I uninstalled the previous drivers and used Driver Cleaner Pro to remove any remnants before installing the new card.

Thanks in advance for any help! :)

Im guessing its the addio feature built into the gpu for when hdmi is used to output video and audio on the same connection

Thanks BassPunk. I had a search on ATI's site and found this HDMI audio driver for the HD 2900 but I wasn't sure if I should install it or not.

Any ideas regarding the screen blanking problem? Do you guys think it's a faulty card? Thanks again.

did u try both output connections on the card?

I haven't because there's only 1 DVI output. The other output is a DSUB and I don't have an adaptor available.
