Hehe was just about to post this myself...beat me to it.

Looks another muppet who needs to be removed from the gene pool...why the hell would you put complete and utter trust into a sat nav system??.

Surely your eyes are a better judge than a stupid electronic gadget:rolleyes:

If I was the Police I wouldnt have spent 9 hours rescuing the car, I'd have spent 20 mins clearing people from below and chucked it down the cliff!

Explain that one to your insurance :D

Seriously, come on he must have observed the cliff was there. What a retard.

Retard being the operative word:

He told the Halifax Evening Courier: "It kept insisting the path was a road, even as it was getting narrower and steeper, so I just trusted it.

"You don't expect to be taken nearly over a cliff."

You are if you are a fool.

How can he get done for driving without due care and attention if he wasn't on the queens highway. he drove off the main carraigeway then down an old unmaintained access track. Sure, he can get proscecuted for other things, but driving without due care and attention off-road? Hmmm, seems odd to me.

If it had happened at night then I could understand - maybe. But this is 11am! You should never follow satnav unless your sure it's safe to, it's common sense.

The queen's highways are not just tarmac.... bridleways etc are still subject to laws.... Hence needing to be a licence holder, and the vehicle taxed and insured if you go greenlaning...

Mine's tried taking me down stupid lanes and/or dirt tracks and paths before... I just ignore it and keep going until I find a road that's actually laid with tarmac :p
