hiya,

Does anyone know a make/model of car Sat Nav that has O.S. mapping included?

I've tried searching but can't seem to find owt.

Or, I've got a Tom Tom one xl at the mo, can I add O.S. maps to it?

Cheers

Jon

I don't think there are any dedicated sat-navs with OS mapping. You probably need a PDA.

I use my pda with memory-map navigator its the only way I've found to do the OS mapping. Sit it alongside the Tomtom and you get great navigation with a gross error check(although the OS maps I have are a bit out of date!!)

I don't know anything about pda's. Would it update my position "live" in the car as I drove?

I'm after something that I can whack in a grid ref to where I want to go. I guess using my current Tom Tom to get me in the general area then use something else for the last bit would be good.

mine updates real-time just like the Tomtom, not much good on the search but it shows the destination/distance etc

Yes, but the PDA obviously needs GPS in it.
