Sata male or female?? Off a psu

i'm confused. Coming off a power supply is it Sata Male or Female?

In other words is the power sata connector on a drive male or female?

I need to convert a sata only power supply to have one molex connector.

the sata connector on the psu has a hole, therefore it female.

ah yes, but it is confusing if you look at the female end, it all looks like it has small pins, thus perhaps making it a male..

A little like a molex adapter.. Cos the plastic part you slot in, could be mistaken as male, since its inner, though the pins inside are female..

Anway it was enough to throw me off.
