SATA RAID card for ESXi 6.5?

Need to get a lab setup relatively quickly, as cheap as I can.

Have two Samsung SSD's i'm after mirroring but am clueless as to what SAT RAID card to get hold of compatibility wise?

Anyone had much joy, or even better one kicking in an old server I could have off with?!

What motherboard do you have? Probably not worth adding a dedicated card with only 2 drives

The problem is that older HBA’s and SATA cards sometimes have issues with little things like TRIM support, in some cases that’s more of a problem than others. I’d start here:
