Hi Guys, hope I'm posting this in the right place...
Basically I have a USB to SATA Adapter that I was using to recover data from a 2.5" HDD from a laptop.
I Connected the HDD via SATA cable to the adapter, then connected usb from adapter to desktop PC. I then connected a mains adapter - 4 pin molex and began transfering data to my desktop PC. About 3 minitues in the mains adapter went bang and tripped the power in my house. Question is, is this down to a dodgy mains adapter for the kit ( I'l be honest it was a very cheap kit), or did I do something wrong?
HDD is still working fine, it was the mains adapter that blew!
Hope this makes sense, any help is greatly appreciated!
