If i was to transfer some data from one Sata2 drive to another , what sorts of Mb/s should i see?

Depends on the size of the files being copied and the individual drives involved.
Copying a single 1Gb file is far quicker than copying 1000 1Mb files due to the number of file table updates required.
Modern drives tend to have higher transfer rates than older ones, 3.5" drives are generally quicker than 2.5" ones.
