i bought freesat hd receiver and now i'm needing satellite dish. i want to get all the hd channels available like bbc hd and itv hd but does anyone know what the size of the dish is required? thanks in advance

If you have a Sky minidish with extra lnb outlets, take a feed from it. Freesat basically uses the same satellite as Sky at 28E only the Freesat receiver will have the Sky channels blocked.

To your question, 43cm or 60cm dish depending on your area. Fleabay are offering dish, quad lnb and cable for less than £35.

I am not an expert but i have read that the smaller dishes `can` suffer from sparklies?? in the rain
We ended up going for a 80 cm but i suppose it depends where you mount the dish and how the larger dishes look on your wall :)

The bigger the dish, the less trouble you will have in bad weather. I think its stupid to go less than 60cm especially in a country were the weather is crap all the time. I have a 1.1m motorised dish and it works flawlessly in bad weather.
