Anyone ever installed their own?

I'm A Brit living in Denmark and for crimbo my dad got me a sky hd box + card as a multi room one from his subscription. I have since then purchased a suitably sized dish, Octo LNb, cable , 3 freeview hd boxes and bits n bobs to put sat tv in my house. I also purchased an iPhone app that shows where to point the dish and a meter to plug between one of the receivers to gauge the strengh when I'm setting it up.

Am I overlooking anything else?

Am in in for a world of hurt trying to get it working?

I'll be attempting the install soon.

Set mine up in Germany in about 20 minuets, think it was an 80cm dish. I used the freesat box to show me the signal. get it in the rough direction then fine tune it.

Quite easy.

It's in the terms and conditions. However, you aren't guaranteed to get the nasty letter, depends if they check your box.

I've installed my own. They are easy if you have an aerial finder, or have a second person to look at the signal strength charts on the set top box.

You may need silicon gel for the outdoor connectors. Prolongs the life of the connector by stopping oxidisation.

Fitting a fixed dish is easy. Once you know where to point the dish then you just need to adjust the Elevation (How far the dish tilts on the bracket) and Azimuth (Left to Right adjustment) Link below explains it better. Don't forget to put self amalgamating tape or a rubber boot over the f-connectors to stop water ingress.
