Was going up to mid Wales, we came around a bend and saw two females flagging us down, slowed down and could see a line of traffic so we pulled up behind the last car.

Could see something was up around the bend but didn’t know what so got out to have a look, turns out someone on a motor bike had taken the corner to fast, and lost control, hit a wooden post at over 50mph head on.

This was before police, ambulance turned up, I know cpr but could tell right away they had no chance, arms legs all at right angles, helmet smashed etc and other people where around them anyway.

After about 30 mins when police turns up and ambulance, they said was a group of bikers from England, and they just didn’t know the road and how narrow they are in Wales.

Not a good day.

Who ever you are RIP.

That's a real shame, RIP.

Very very nasty, I don't know how I would react in such a situation, I wouldn't know how to try and treat the bloke with all those broken bones but I would try my best.

Tragic.

R.I.P
My parent's friends were driving along a country road when a bike came round the corner on the wrong side of the road, hit their car head on.
Wrote off the car. and he died. It's not a nice thought.

rip

i always think road accidents are so unfare even if it was his fault, one mistake and you're gone.

or get up in the morning having no idea you wont be coming back.

Rather go like that than slow and messy or counting your days (cancer etc).

R.I.P

Shouldnt happen to anyone however, my mom used to work for (NHS) authopedics (sp?) Lots of injured people come in to do with bones etc..

Well, a motobiker came in (they have a lot), he lost a "ball" ... my mom asked him would you bike again and he said yes

RIP whoever he is. Died doing something he enjoyed atleast. :(

Worst ive saw was a pigeon getting squashed by an asda transit van driver even though i said it was there and couldnt fly away! ******* ****!

Sounds a bit bad that.....i meant thats like the only death ive saw.....never had a family member or close friend die.

At least he died doing what he loved. I doubt that's of much comfort to his family though :(.

I used to drive from Stoke to Aberystwyth regularly, A53>A483>A470>A44 usually.

I saw a few accidents as well, a car doing a dangerous overtake off a hillside on the A44 and a head on between a car and an HGV.

I came unstuck once, luckily didn't actually hit anything. Its just sad that it had to happen and their misjudgement was so costly.

RIP anyway :(

If you find it is getting you down be sure to talk to those around you about it, a problem shared and all that :)

RIP John Doe :(

It's not a nice thing to see somebody die. I've seen a lorry crash where the driver died, but fortunately didn't see the aftermath of it. It's something that haunted me for a while after it.

Ummmm, would you really care when you're dead?

I would for my family, else it's just selfish. They have to live with it once you're gone, and that can have serious psychological effects on people.

Wow.

Just passed first stage of my bike test today, you've certainly made me think about just how easy it is to come unstuck out there.

RIP whomever it may be :(

Really everyone should be prepared to die at a moments notice (wills and the like), dangers all around and all that.

Anyway, this is depressing, R.I.P to the bloke

I'm not trying to bash motorcyclists here. But they do always seems to come off worse - so why ride them at high speeds?
