Scary if your watching alone. TBH most of the films I listed would scare the bejingles out of me if I watched them in the dark by myself.

Do you even remember some of the scenes in Tetsuo? Seriously? Ignoring the ending that film was a mess.

Arachnophobia freaked me out as a kid .. not watched since as i think its what made me freak over seeing spiders ..lol

other than that films don't scare me at all or make me jump

Me too. I couldn't sleep for weeks after I first saw it. That film has a lot to answer for :mad:

I loved it, start to finish. The "sex scene" was brilliant

Only movie to make me jump has been grudge, and i felt a complete wuss for it. It was in the cinema mind! So maybe it can be forgiven, Without spoiling anything, It's when she's peeking into the attic...

I dont jump! I wish i did, I try and set myself up for being scared as i love the feeling, but movies fail miserably most the time.

Pffft.. I'd like to consider myself a b-movie god tbh. I wrote that as most of the members here are citing cinematic releases (with storylines). Just didn't want them going into this movie hoping for that kinda fulfilment.

My kinda film is Vase de Noces.

I dont jump! I wish i did, I try and set myself up for being scared as i love the feeling, but movies fail miserably most the time.

This is what I enjoy, the sweaty suspense, Grudge in the cinema was awesome. One girl ran out crying half way through :eek:

For me its anything ghostly, zombies and sci fi dont bother me in the slightest but ghostly stuff gives me the heebie jeebies. Oh and aliens (little green men type) for some reason!

First film that ever really terrified me was The Shining

The second film that really disturbed me was Fire In The Sky, I watched it when I was twelve and there is no way I could watch it again, it triggered a fear and interest in aliens with me for some reason. I bet if I watched it now I would laugh but I really couldnt, I also couldnt watch The 4th Kind for the same reasons

Most recent film that I found scary was The Grudge, dont ask me why but theres something about that film that freaks me out, watched it in the cinema when it first came out and people were screaming and crying and all sorts

I really enjoyed [REC], but I can't actually remember being properly scared of a film.

That's probably because I know that watching a scary movie at night, curtains shut, alone, etc, would scare the living daylights out of me.

Woman In Black

I watched it in the early 90s and it frightened the life out of me :eek:

Also recommend the stage version at London's Fortune Theatre, went back in March and it's VERY well done

Also honourable mention goes to the very old live action version of Hansel and Gretel, the one with Cloris Leachman as the witch. Again I watched it at a young age, saw it a couple of years back and it still gave me the creeps.

The only films which freak me out are the fast paced zombie films like REC 1 and 2 (the spanish version) and 28 days/weeks later.

Also dead set (technically not a film

) was pretty damn good, I would actually say that it would be up there with the top zombie films tbh, quite a few jumpy bits.

in my experience there are very few marmite films that compare to the Blair Witch Project.

I thought it was excellent and quite frightening.

one thing is for sure it was very profitable on a % level.
