Hi all,

Well I left college today, we had a leavers assembley and they showed videos and pictures of us all growing up. There was one of me in my primary school uniform when I came for my year 7 induction day.

Quite an emotional day really, so many goodbyes and yet so much ahead of us all.

I suppose its true, you dont know what you have got until its gone, time and time again people said to me, make the most of your school days, they are the best days of your lives. Like everyone else I spent my time putting this down as a load of crap.

But looking back, the last 7 years have been amazing.

So I suppose I wanted to say to anyone whos in school or college now, you wont think it , but take it from someone your own age, its true what people say, so make the most of your time.

So here I am, out in the real world at least.

Well im not there yet, I got that to come, and boy am I looking forward too it :D

But I have realised today, the last 7 years really have been special.

I know what you mean, it really seems like 2 minutes that I was in reception at primary school, oh the Year 6's looked so big then :p

I've still got 2 weeks left but I can't believe how fast these 2 years at College have gone.

18 and grown up... well hard now! :p

I know what you mean. Myself and my friends still miss our year 7 - year 11 days like mad, and we're 18/19 now. It was a fantastic school.

(College doesn't count, we all split up as it didn't have a college:()

Ive really enjoyed my 2 years at college more than i did at high school to be honest, ill certainly miss the peopel if i dont keep in touch, but hey, unis just around the corner :D

Cant believe ive only got 3 weeks left.

We have our leavers' do next Friday. (right after my last exam) I've only been at this school for 3 years but I've really got to know some people - going to be an emotional time to leave behind all these people and start afresh at uni :)

:D

Yer we are having like a leavers ball kind of thing after our exams, 30th of june I think.

So I will see everyone one last time. Its the people I will miss.

Such good times.

Totally agree, I have fond memories of my days at school, my mates from school were (and still are) awesome, we got up to all kinds of mischief. Uni just isnt the same, my friends here are rubbish in comparison.

Every year since we left school, my friends and I have the 'we miss school' chat. We're 25 now, and so much has changed since then.

We all moved out of our parents' houses a long time ago, 3 of us have young children, 1 of them is married, 1 of them is planning her wedding, a few of them have mortgages. Sadly one of our friends passed away a few months after we left school. 3 of them live within walking distance of me, but we very rarely get together because of life being in the way.

Treasure your school days. If you've made some really good friends at school, they'll be friends for years to come. I've had college friends who I've drifted apart from and work colleagues who were just the same, but my school friends will always be a part of my life.

I'm 22 now but in some ways I would go back to school in a second. No real worries.

Sometimes I think I didn't make the best of it. But whats done is done eh?

Becuase it is a load of crap - school days are far from the best days of your life.

I'd say its University days - about as care-free as school but you are old enough to do interesting things like drive cars, which is better than swapping Pogs.
