Exactly what I was getting at - 90k is a lot of miles, so £6k is a bit steep.

No, 90k is not a lot of miles, and £6k is not steep. If it had lower mileage than 90k it would be closer to £8k - RB5's are expensive.

90k is not a lot of miles on a turbocharged engine which, due to the very nature of the car will have seen its fair share of being thrashed? yeah, ok.

90k is really not an issue in a well maintained UK Impreza. Mine had 88k on it when I bought it, and nearly 120k when I sold it. At least 5-10k of that was in excess of 300bhp, and I drove it like I stole it daily, and never had any problems with it.

One thing I will say though, make sure it has had the 90k service as this is *VERY* expensive. It includes Cambelt, all fluids including diff, plugs, all filters........ the list goes on. I paid 500 quid at an independent specialist, expect to pay up to 700+ at a dealer.

Not sure its been mentioned yet but didnt the Rb5 have a solid rear bulkhead ? :)

There is a question make over just where the shells came from.

Its not beyond Prodrive to have stripped the STIs and put in mechanicals - a P1 is just a bastardised Type R/UK car.

RB5 would be the best UK car to go for but modding one (cosmetically) would be crime. As for price, its not bad, mines for sale at 6K firm which although not a special edition is still relatively rare being an EU/UK Sonic Blue saloon.
