Screen goes black once windows loads - How can I change the Screen Resolution?

Hi all,

Bit stuck here.

I rebuilt my friend's PC (E machines PC) and I was using it at my place with a 17" TFT screen no probs.

....now she's taken the PC back home and plugged in her old 14" or 15" Medion LCD screen... and when Windows XP loads up, once it should get to the desktop - the screen just goes blank.

... my guess is that windows is set to a higher resolution than the monitor can handle..? So how can I change it back?

I have tried 'Safe Mode' - But it doesn't let you change the resolution..

Any ideas please..?

Will this allow me to set the screen resolution once it gets me into Windows?
