Using 360 connected to 32" LCD using official VGA lead and the game has serious screen tear issues! It's so bad on Dead Rising I ended up just turning it off as I couldn't be bothered playing it looking that bad!

Believe me I'm no fusspot over such things but it's a joke.

Is this a known problem over VGA? Or even that game? Or is it the LCD? Which is a 32" Hannspree btw. The TV is only used for the 360 and it's pretty much the first time I've used it since I bought it around xmas time.

Thing is I remember playing the Demo of Dead Rising on my 19" PC monitor over VGA and I noticed serious tearing then aswell but mainly only on the cut scenes.

On the 32" the cut scenes are terrible but then that draws attention to it during the game. It's not as bad in game but still very noticeable.

Deadrising is known for its poor tearing, nothing can be done I think..

Not many games do it, only Saints row and DR which I have noticed.

Yep its pretty bad under VGA for Dead Rising. Try the MS component cable as the tearing is a lot less noticeable for some reason. Also Splinter Cell Double Agent has very bad tearing but again on MS component its not as bad so must be something to do with the way the 360 handles the HDTV sync on different cables. Think most would prefer to have vsync as an option but MS refuse to even comment on the matter (just like they ignore the noisy 360 issues).
