People steal from charities all the time, its not any worse than someone who breaks into an OAPs house and robs them, in fact its not as bad as that. Stick a poppy on it, and suddenly everyone is outraged.

Stealing is bad, doesn't matter the source. I think we all need to get a grip on what we class as low-life, as stealing a collection tin isn't as bad as mugging someone physically, no matter where the money was destined to go.

Ive emptied a cancer research tin in work to cash it up and it has about £70, that included a but load of £1 coins and a £5 note! So not much TBH

Id say more tbh, people generally just seem to whack pound coins in the poppy appeal tin whereas those other the ones that are generally in the shop get 50+ from just silver and copper!
