I am everywhere...
After getting my Ps3 (thank you custom man and UPS for driving me crazy! :p ) i noticed that my rear projection TV can only output on the ps3 at 480! I have never been so much bothered about the 480, 720, 1080i or P until now. While using the SDtv, it is pretty horrible to say the least....for the first two days i literally felt sick and my eyes ache from poor 480 display.

So today me and GF went into the store for a bit of window shopping then i saw that a competitior is doing an offer on all LCD and Plasmas so i decide to take the plunge....Within the next hour that we was out windon-shopping my hand just suddenly dipped into my pockets again and i paid for a Panasonic TH-42PX60B and had it delivered right away! (the sales man was so nice to me or perhaps he already ripped me off and throwed in a philips dvd player with HDMI upscaling  )

After getting home and doing away with the sdtv, i finally set up the Panasonic plasma and flicked the ps3 on, after a few fiddling it finaly came to live in HD mode! (tv can hanfle 1080i) Gwad, it was a milion times better than the sdtv, the images are crisp, clear, vibrant, colourful and almost life-like. I played the GTHD again and it was even better than i expected. RFom looks good too and Ridge racer just feels like you can touch the cars on the screen - very impressive.

Overall, i will never ever go back and watch or play games on sdtv, it sucks and if you have a ps3 hooked on to a sdtv, please go get yourself a HDtv of some sort by all means necessary even if it means *mugging a gran ma or OAP

*not recommended and i belive you aint that stupid anyway. **Claim benefit instead!

**Seriously work hard and save up :p

I remember seeing the jump from sdtv to hdtv with a 360, bit of a shock at first just how much of an improvement it can offer.

Knew it wouldnt take you long to get a HDTV, i was surprised when you first said you were going to run it on a SD tv!

Nice one!

Is your Girlfriend going spare now that you have a PS3 to satisfy your sexual needs?

Welcome to next generation gaming!

only a year or so behind... :p

Ive heard a lot of stories about PS3's not being compatable with TV's and such, I think it would be comptable with mine but I use a monitor when I'm at uni so I use a VGA cable with the 360. Hopefully sony will bring out a VGA cable.

The only problem the PS3 has with compatibility at the moment is that in the US, 720p was not standard when HDTV first came out, only 1080i, meaning that some games on the PS3 do not support 1080i, meaning users have to play games in 480p instead.
