After getting my Ps3 (thank you custom man and UPS for driving me crazy! 
) i noticed that my rear projection TV can only output on the ps3 at 480! I have never been so much bothered about the 480, 720, 1080i or P until now. While using the SDtv, it is pretty horrible to say the least....for the first two days i literally felt sick and my eyes ache from poor 480 display.
So today me and GF went into the store for a bit of window shopping then i saw that a competitior is doing an offer on all LCD and Plasmas so i decide to take the plunge....Within the next hour that we was out windon-shopping my hand just suddenly dipped into my pockets again and i paid for a Panasonic TH-42PX60B and had it delivered right away! (the sales man was so nice to me or perhaps he already ripped me off and throwed in a philips dvd player with HDMI upscaling
)
After getting home and doing away with the sdtv, i finally set up the Panasonic plasma and flicked the ps3 on, after a few fiddling it finaly came to live in HD mode! (tv can hanfle 1080i) Gwad, it was a milion times better than the sdtv, the images are crisp, clear, vibrant, colourful and almost life-like. I played the GTHD again and it was even better than i expected. RFom looks good too and Ridge racer just feels like you can touch the cars on the screen - very impressive.
Overall, i will never ever go back and watch or play games on sdtv, it sucks and if you have a ps3 hooked on to a sdtv, please go get yourself a HDtv of some sort by all means necessary even if it means *mugging a gran ma or OAP
