Hi folks,

I have an old SD31P Shuttle XPC here with a Pentium D 3.0ghz and 2 x 1GB DDR2 PC2-5300 sticks installed, running XP 64. Can't seem to find a decent supported memory list anywhere online any more.

Question 1: Can this mobo take 2 x 2GB sticks? Their website seems to say 2GB is the max.

Question 2: Would Windows 7 64-bit run ok with the 2GB currently installed? Including running PowerDVD, browser etc? I'm feeling as though it might be a little ropey...

Cheers!

I have this shuttle have two Transend Jetram 1gig sticks single sided DDR2 667mhz pc2-5300 max you can install is 2gb going by shuttle specs.
I'm running XP pro 32bit don't think win7 would work that good with only 2 gb ram have not tried it though.
I have two double sided DDR2 800 mhz memory 2 gig sticks in another system but my brother has it at the moment I'm 90% sure this memory will not work on the Shuttle 31P if it did it will only show up as 2 gig total ram installed.
Have Pentium 4 3.0ghz an 8600gts 512mb ram gpu installed in this Shuttle SD31P plays my old xp games great.

Cheers Spike. I can confirm that windows 7 32-bit runs just fine on this SD31P with 2GB RAM as installed last night and all running great. Even with blu-ray playback at 1080p.

I reckon you're right that 2GB is the max. Thanks for confirming.
