SDHC and XD Cards

I upgraded the Firmware on my Fiji F40fd to get SDHC cards compatability. But is it me or are these cards physically different? My XD card looks to have a lot more pins on it than a SDHC card?

Hard to find good pics though does anyone have both they can compare for me?

XD and SD/SDHC are physically different but,according to the specs, the F40fd does take them both.

Hmm it's interesting since the F40fd only has the one memory card slot. I want to hear from someone who has an SDHC card in an F40fd before I buy a SDHC card.
