AAGGHH!!!

My Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB has died

I should have known better, I have lost everything films music the lot.

How long does Seagate take to replace a drive?

Now I don't want this to happen again so I am looking to getting some Extra RAID storage.

Should I build my own RAID5 setup, I have a xp1700 setup lying around I could use or is one of the specialist pre-built ones better.

Thanks for any advice.

i sent my 320gig back on monday and from what i gatered on the site its was dispatched on thursday. still no sign of it yet they must have sent it the wrong way around the world

please dont tell me this is a big problem ive got 2 of these sitting in the dining room unopened waiting to be put in a e6600 system on monday

When i RMA'd my seagate 200gb a while ago it didn't take too long. Around 2 weeks iirc.

valerian: I wouldn't be worried about your drives. There are always going to be failures. Just don't copy your whole life over to those drives straight away though, leave them for a bit to see how they go.
