Sealing my new frying pan

It's silicon and I did read somewhere it can withstand something like 200c plus. You get silicon baking products that go in the oven, I'm sure it'd fairly easily push out though but it is designed to go in the oven.

I'd read somewhere that it was prone to melting but if it's silicon as you say, then that really casts into doubt that it'd melt after "10 minutes at medium heat". Thanks again for clearing that up.

I wouldn't buy a pre seasoned pan, I'd want to do it myself and know it's done properly.
It's like buying a knife, when I buy a knife I spend a few hours re edging it to my tastes.

Would be really great to hear how you re-edge a knife, I'm a very proud home cook but I just use a steel to sharpen my tools.

nice pan by the way, not far off buying myself a new oven, nothing fancy will make an out with the old in with the new thread when I do though

Bought another of these, the 26cm one. Both are great. However. NEVER and my mean NEVER let your miss's near them. They leave stuff in them overnight.

She has been banned from using my pans forever more!!
