Seat Ibiza 1.9 Cupra .. opinons please

Hi, i am off to test drive the above car on monday and possibly purchase anyone have any thoughts or opinons on the car?

I currently drive a 2.0 8v ibiza cupra sport so im hopeing the performance difference should be dramatic

can be remapped to 210 brake and 320lbft of torque! would pull like a mutha

Cool thanks for the replies, im thinking the standard 160bhp should do me for a bit but definetly a remap and a nice sachs cluth replacement might do the trick

0.4 secs slower than a new 2.0litre mk5 golf GTi (0-60), i dont think im going to be dissapointed

Quick question for anyone who knows, i know the ESP can be switched off in the car but can the TCS (traction cont.) be switched off independently as well.

I spose i will know all on monday but i just wanted a heads up to feed my interest

Not sure if it'll be the same, but my Leon Cupra TDI 150, you can switch the TCS off. It doesn't have ESP though I think.

Small bit of trivia, I once got hit in the face by the TCS button whilst driving. It popped out of it's socket and whacked me one

Thing is a torquey (<-- spelling ?) beast and regardless of gear pulls like a dream.

And to top it off its a red one

Couldn't get him to throw in the flaps

but i got him on the matts lol

What revs can you get it up to before it starts to choke?

Only had 2 drives in it this morning, took it to 4200 - 4300 rpm before changing and it still felt good. To be honest cant really see the need to go over 4000 from my short time in the car. Turbo cuts in around 1900-2000 very smooth delivery, funny initially it didnt feel that quick but by the speed the dial was moving it definetly was

. Only 4k miles on the clock so its still got to loosen up yet.

Gotta be said though im gunna miss canning the ( ) <-- [insert 3 letter word for bottom here] out of my old beezer
