Second hard drive doesn't seem to be working correctly

I just installed a 128GB SSD for windows, a few games and other key files. My 1TB Samsung is now acting as a second hard drive rather than the main one. I formatted both and installed Windoes 7 on the SSD. However, in My Computer the 1TB drive is not telling my how much space is used up on it. However much I add it just keeps showing that the drive is empty (However, I can see all of the folders in there and use the programs). Why is it doing this?

My second question is. Is there any correct way to install programs on it? I have just made a new folder and called it "Program Files", and then just direct some programs to install in there. Is there a right/better way of doing this? This is my first time using a SSD as the main drive.

Thanks!

No idea to your first question, but as to your second. Yep thats correct, just tell any applications you want to install on the second drive. Try to leave a bit of space on C though, as a lot of applications installed on Windows 7 will put files into "Users". World of warcraft actually prefers to have the entire application installed to C:\users\public\World of Warcraft for example it allows patching to bypass a lot of the requirements to run as administrator. Many games will put their saves in \users\"your name".

Thanks for your reply. To the first question, I think it is actually reading the space correctly. I have just filled so little of it that it doesnt show up at the moment! I forget how much 1TB is vs my SSD :). Might get a second SSD if this one gets too full, it is very impressive.
