I was wondering if anyone uses Second Life and what would be your ultimate pc build for it?

I have been a 'content creator' in SL for many years, my pc runs it well spec bellow:-

Gigabyte Z97X-UD5H-BK Intel LGA1150 Z97 (5 year warranty) (this system board has been rock solid so far, I never believe in skimping on system boards)
i5 4670k cpu mild overclock to 4 gig
Be Quiet BK018 Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler (in my opinion the best air cooler) the cpu runs about 48 centigrade in second life and about 32 tops when just using the net etc! (highest core)
HyperX FURY Series 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR3 1866 MHz
MSI NVIDIA GTX 970 Gaming (standard apart from the fan speed upped a bit, thermal shock cracks lead free solder! fans can be replaced!)
Plextor PX-G128M6E 128GB M.2 PCI Express SSD (for os drive) (the write speed on this is rather slow, I got it when they were new hardly any other options on the market at the time)
Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB 2.5 inch Solid State Drive (data Drive) (sl cache is on this drive)
Asus Xonar Essence STX sound card (I already had this sound card from my last pc, I never tried the on board sound)

Also i have a big atx case that helps to keep things very cool!:- Cooler Master SGC-5000-KWN1 Trooper

Windows 7 Pro (nope i don't want win 10 at the moment, I am on the insider program and for this pc i just won't touch win 10)

I was toying a while back with getting a GTX 980 TI but due to Second life's graphics engine not really taking advantage of any of the modern extras the cards are now capable of i didn't see any point.

SL still exists? Also by content creator do you mean porn? lol

lol no I build period furniture and castle type things, and I just knew some one would say does SL still exist ^^

I know a lot of people take the pee out of SL but it still makes me money.

As for porn, you know the media? SL has much more than that to offer!

Linden Lab are working on a new grid, but I don't think I want to be part of that, its called project Sansar at the moment.

btw a friend of mine in SL some years ago made over £50,000 in a month in sl, I have never made a fraction of that myself I wish.

I hear you lol, in the past i have spent 16 hours a day in SL! work work work!
but i am in a niche market so I will never make the big bucks lol.
I enjoy it, keeps my mind active.

There are going to be some new virtual worlds opening this year and in the future, I have signed up for one as a content provider, we will see how that goes.
