lots of tickets will have your name on them somewhere, obviously only if they're printed to order ones, not ones out of a ticket book.

This, ordering from a legit ticket agency you should never not get in, they will have sent any tickets or a guest list to the box office for those that haven't been delivered.

bought tickets from them twice and never got any sent out! they had some "problems" with the tickets for the two seperate gigs i went to, they just made us pick the tix up at the venue

I wasn't sure whether he was asking whether to expect them to have the name on, or worrying that it would be the wrong name, I was just saying that some tickets do have your name on.

Yep, there is nothing wrong with you having bought a ticket from ebay, a venue isn't likely to turn you away even if you buy it from a tout right in front of them.

The name is irrelevant, you could have been bought the ticket by someone just as easily as you've bought it.

The only concern with tickets from ebay is when you start getting e-tickets etc, as obviously it's not hard to duplicate them. Only a problem at venues that scan your tickets though, last time I went rock city didn't but it has been a while, not that it matters in your case.
