Anybody got or used one of these?

I currently have the original rig swift and have the chance to buy one of these for £310.
The reason is I want to try 4k, then I'd either sell my swift if I like it or resell the seiki.
Should I bother? Is it s good price? I like the idea of a larger 4k panel.

Not sure if I can manage without G-Sync

Thoughts?

40" 4K 60Hz without G-Sync... LOL! Coming from what you have, I would strongly advise against it. Even with a 1080 you're going to hit FPS/tearing issues with certain games, although it will depend what games you play.

I took your advice under......advisement but the thing is if I don't like it or whatever I'm sure I could just sell it or I thought I could replace the 7 year old Plasma telly in my living room. It doesn't get used for tv as we only watch on demand.

I don't think tearing/fps issues should be too bad as I have enough GPU grunt.

U will be fine. I've been on a 4k without gsync for the last 2 years and hardly notice tearing. U won't be able to ultra most games but the better resolution makes up forbthat

You'll probably hate it as the PPI will be roughly the same but you lose the fluidness of 60+Hz

Just an update.

I decided to sell my swift. I love this monitor can't recommend it enough, colours, blacks are excellent. Got the icc profile from pcper and it's amazing.
4k is awesome and 40 inches is awesome.
